All about Me
Me, Animals, Art and Dyslexia
Yes, I know that is a very long title but it seemed to sum me up ! So let's break it down into manageable sections.

I am Annette, you probably worked that out by the name of my website, I'm in my 50's and live in North Lincolnshire. I am actually a Yorkshire Lass and come from South Yorkshire, no I don't wear a flat cap or own a whippet, although my 1st dog was actually a Whippet called Scooby. I live with my long suffering husband and rock, Jon. I have 2 beautiful daughters and 3 grandchildren.

As a child I loved drawing, especially animals. I have always loved animals and birds, as a child I would wander around the local fields and woods with local dogs I had borrowed off locals. As soon as I got a job I got a Scooby. I now own 2 Hungarian Vizslas called Eddie and Chester, they are a bit nuts but I love them. I love country walks, looking at the birds and wildlife with the boys and my camera. Recently, I did some horse riding with my granddaughter. I enjoyed it so much, I love horses so much but I am not a confident rider. Still I will hopefully do it again soon

School was not a happy place for me due to my, at the time, undiagnosed Dyslexia, but art was one lesson I did enjoyed. As I did not do well in school and going to Art college was not an option, I started working in a local shop and forgot about my artist dreams.

Fast forwards through 2 wedding2 , 1 divorce , 2 children and several house moves. We moved into a cottage in North Lincolnshire and started renovating it. At this time I was feeling stressed at work and
we had started stripping the wallpaper. At the bottom of the stairs as the wall paper came of the shape of a Lion appeared , so I borrowed some pastels from the art department at school and set to work. I soon remembered my love of art and how it took me to another world. This lion picture started me on a journey that continues today ....
